DONATIONS AND BEQUESTS POLICY

From time to time, members or their families or, indeed members of the general public, consider making donations or bequests to the society.  NDSME is always pleased to consider receiving  items and if suitable, to give these a  good secure home where future generations of members may enjoy them.

If you wish to donate or bequeath an item, be it a loco or a set of tools, please make contact with the Donations & Bequests Officer.  The email address is

This is the preferred channel to use.  You will receive a formal acknowledgement and your donation or bequest can be organised in an efficient and formal manner.

NDSME aims to give a good home to all suitable donated or bequeathed items.  In the unlikely event that an item is not suitable for us we will be able to give advice and guidance as to how to pass on the item to a good home.

Please note that we are usually only able to accept items that have been donated unconditionally.
